Kyrgyz farmers to receive preferential loans

Kyrgyzstan will allocate preferential loans with annual interest rate of 7 percent to the country's farmers, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov said at a governmental session on Tuesday, the country's government reports.
He said the government will allocate 1 billion soms from the state budget with this purpose, 500 million soms from which will be allotted to the plant growing and 500 million soms - to the livestock sector.
The period of loan for plant growing will be one year while for livestock sector - 2 years, Babanov added.
At the session Prime Minister stressed the importance of population's welfare for Kyrgyz government and the necessity of conducting all needed reforms in this regard.
Babanov said amendments are expected to be imposed in the state budget in May due to additional funds' flow.
