The strategy for sustainable development defines Kyrgyzstan's growth guidelines, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev said at a meeting of the National Council for Sustainable Development, KirTAG reported on Monday.
"Many proposals have been submitted over the last month, both critical and supportive and the strategy has been improved. It comprises clearly generated results and guidelines. By 2017 we should establish ourselves as a strong democracy with a vibrant economy which will ensure a high standard of living. Sources and amounts of funding for economic projects have been clearly defined," the president said.
He said the strategy includes the following guidelines: Kyrgyzstan has to be among top 30 countries in the international business ranking, and among top 50 countries in the rating of perceived corruption.
"The strategy will provide effective implementation of medium term programmes. The population hopes for the actual implementation as they are tired of uncertainty," the head of state said.
