The fuel-supply mission of the U.S. Manas transit center in Kyrgyzstan was finished on Feb. 24, AKIpress reported on Feb. 25.

At the moment the center continues to provide service to cargo-and-passenger planes.

Most of fuel-supply planes from this base were sent to the U.S. while the cargo-and-passenger planes will stay there until the whole equipment's removal.

The lease agreement between the U.S. and Kyrgyzstan on Manas transit center expires in 2014.

The military base, later renamed a transit center, was opened within the framework of NATO's counter terrorism operation in Afghanistan in 2001.
