An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale was recorded in Kazakhstan and two earthquakes measuring 4.4 and 5 on the Richter scale were recorded in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan's Seismological Expedition of the Science Committee under the Education and Science Ministry reported.

The earthquake in Kazakhstan occurred on Sept. 14, 18:39 local time (12:39 Greenwich time), 160 kilometers to the north of the city of Almaty. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 5 kilometers.

The first earthquake in Kyrgyzstan occurred on Sept. 15, 01:20 local time (Sept. 14, 19:20 Greenwich time). The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The second earthquake in Kyrgyzstan occurred on Sept. 15, 02:05 local time (Sept. 14, 20:05 Greenwich time). The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 kilometers.

There was no information available on possible victims or damage.
