Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev has signed a law on presidential and parliamentary election in the country, the presidential press service reported.
In accordance with the law, the next presidential election in Kyrgyzstan will be held October 15, 2017.
Earlier, Kyrgyz authorities planned to hold presidential election November 19, 2017.
Atambayev has no right to participate in the upcoming election, since the Kyrgyz law prohibits the country’s citizens from being elected president for two consecutive terms.
