Kyrgyz, Uzbek presidents' meeting underway in Tashkent

A meeting of Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov with his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev is taking place at the Durmen Residence in Tashkent.
The sides are expected to discuss prospects for the development of Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations, as well as other topical issues between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
Jeenbekov has arrived in Tashkent on an official visit at the invitation of the Uzbek president.
Jeenbekov visited the Islam Karimov Scientific and Educational Memorial Complex in Tashkent.
It is expected that a joint statement of the two presidents will be adopted, and a package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents aimed at futher strenghening and expanding bilateral relations in various fields will be signed following the visit.
