Kyrgyz Parliament celebrates its 80th anniversary
A solemn event is held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) at Ala-Archa state residence in Bishkek, Trend reports referring to kabar.kg.
Kyrgyzstan’s President Soorobay Jeenbekov and former head of state Roza Otunbayeva, Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziyev, Chairman of the Supreme Court Gulbara Kaliyeva, diplomats and representatives of international organizations, as well as members of the legislative body of the country – guests of the event.
Especially for this landmark date, the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh prepared a historical photo exhibition and a chronicle-documentary film that was shown at the opening of the event. Further, the anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic was played and the speeches of the first persons of the state followed, after which the speakers were expected to speak within the scientific-practical conference on “80 Years of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic: Analysis and Prospects for Legislative Activity”.
Following the upcoming discussions, the meeting participants will adopt a resolution of the conference.
