Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev met with Advisor to Executive Director of the Saudi Fund for Development Yousef Bin Ibrahim Al Bassam, Trend reports citing Kabar.

The prime minister noted Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia are united by a common culture and religion, spiritual and moral values, as well as a sincere desire for mutual cooperation, the Government’s press service reported.

“We are pleased to see you in the republic. We express our gratitude for assistance in economic development of our country, support of a number of projects in agriculture, health care, water supply, irrigation, construction of schools and roads. We are happy to sign the project on improvement of rural water supply and sewerage system in Batken and Talas Oblasts, which will cover 61 villages,” the prime minister said.

Abylgaziev noted the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to work on joint projects and expressed confidence in further expansion of cooperation through the Saudi Fund for Development.

Advisor to Executive Director of the Saudi Fund for Development Yousef Bin Ibrahim Al Bassam expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome, noting the Fund welcomed the continued effective and fruitful cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the implementation of various projects.

The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) is a Saudi Arabia government agency that was established in 1974. SFD’s activities varied from development, finance, trade and funding. The fund was established to finance developing countries. Since its establishment, SFD has contributed to financing 750 projects in 71 countries.[
