BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 11. Kyrgyzstan and the UAE have agreed to implement joint energy projects, as was noted during the talks between Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Doskul Bekmurzaev and UAE Minister of Energy Suhail Al Mazrouei, Trend reports via press service of the Energy Ministry of Kyrgyzstan.
Bekmurzaev held the talks with his UAE counterpart while participating in World Utilities Congress in Abu Dhabi.
"Our ties with the Arabian Peninsula countries are strengthening. The Ministry of Energy's initiatives are targeted at modernizing Kyrgyzstan's energy sector. We're seeking for trustworthy partners with whom we can achieve great goals. We are ready to create all conditions for investors,” said Bekmurzaev.
Meanwhile, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Kyrgyz's Ministry of Energy and a large UAE-based energy corporation in April 2022. This company will research the renewable energy potential in Kyrgyzstan.
