BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 9. The total value of Kyrgyzstan's imports of food commodities increased in the first quarter of 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan's food products imports amounted to $151.2 million in the first quarter of 2022, which is an increase of 22.4 percent compared to the same period in 2021 ($123.5 million).
According to the agency, the import of food products in the total share of imports of Kyrgyzstan in January-March 2022 amounted to 8.7 percent.
Kyrgyz exports of food commodities also increased in the first quarter of 2022 totaling $73 million, which is an increase of 26.9 percent compared to the same period last year ($57.5 million).
