TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 25. Kyrgyzstan will provide favorable terms for electricity producers from renewable energy sources (RES), Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Doskul Bekmurzaev told Trend on the sidelines of the second meeting of energy ministers of the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) member states in Tashkent on June 24.
"The RES development is one of the strategically important directions in the energy sector of Kyrgyzstan. Currently, the legislative system is being improved, and preferential conditions are being created for electricity producers from RES," Bekmurzaev said.
The minister also noted that Kyrgyzstan is developing renewables programs as part of the improvement of the country's energy sector until 2040 and the green economy.
