BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 24. Turkish investors are ready to build a textile plant in Kyrgyzstan, the director of the National Investments Agency Ravshan Sabirov said, Trend reports via Kyrgyz Media.

According to him, construction of a textile factory in Kyrgyzstan will be built on the basis of the Kara-Balta carpet factory, which has not been working since 2013 due to the wear of textile equipment and the lack of raw materials.

"Construction work is underway, it is planned that after the opening of enterprise, up to 1,000 jobs will be created," Sabirov said.

Remarkably, in the end of 2022, Sabirov stated that a new textile factory will be built in 2022 jointly with an investor from Turkey, which has already invested $400,000 in the project (total cost is estimated at $25 million).
