BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 20. Kyrgyzstan's wholesale and retail trade turnover increased from January through July 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
The total value of the wholesale trade turnover in seven months of this year in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 153 billion soms ($1.8 billion), which is an increase of 26.4 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (121 billion soms, or $1.4 billion).
Kyrgyzstan's retail trade turnover from January through July 2022 increased by 16.5 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year (141.1 billion soms, or $1.7 billion) - up to 164.4 billion soms ($2 billion).
Notably, the growth in wholesale and retail trade in the reporting period was recorded in all regions of Kyrgyzstan, particularly in the capital Bishkek, the Chuy region and the second-largest city - Osh.
