BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 21. The volume of wheat supplies from Russia to Kyrgyzstan significantly increased from January through July 2022, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the committee, Kyrgyzstan in 7 months of this year imported 85,143 tons of wheat from Russia worth $20.3 million, which is almost a fourfold increase over the same period in 2021 (23,099 tons for $5.1 million).

In addition, Kyrgyzstan from January through July 2022 imported wheat flour from Russia in the amount of $2.6 million.

Overall, Kyrgyz imports of goods from Russia in the reporting period increased by 30 percent compared to the same period of last year ($1 billion) - up to $1.3 billion.
