Kyrgyzstan, Hungary sign co-op deals on renewables

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. Hungary and Kyrgyzstan signed memorandums on cooperation in the field of renewable energy, according to the National Investment Agency of Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports via Kyrgyz media.

The memorandums were signed in the frame of Hungarian-Kyrgyz business forum, in Budapest.

According to the agency, a number of documents worth $50 million was signed during the forum. The signed agreements aim at the increase of bilateral trade turnover and implementation of mutually beneficial projects.

The sides also signed contracts on the supply of meat production and the equipment for the sugar plant.

Following the forum, Kyrgyz and Hungarian companies also signed loan agreements and contracts on financing of the agricultural projects, and mutual supply of products and goods.

The Hungarian-Kyrgyz business forum has been held in Budapest on February 14. Among the participants were: the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, Hungarian Economic Development Minister Marton Nagy, leaders of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, as well as around 100 companies from Kyrgyzstan and Hungary from tourism, construction, light and food industry, pharmaceuticals, energy, and industrial sectors.
