BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 5. Kyrgyzstan exported 87,204 tons of oil products to Türkiye in 2023, which is a 9.4-percent decrease compared to 2022 (96,227 tons), Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the value of these exports amounted to $56.525 million, which is a decline of 12.8 percent compared to 2022, when the figure stood at $64.835 million.
Türkiye accounted for 46.3 percent of Kyrgyzstan's total oil product exports, securing its position as the top destination for Kyrgyz exports in this category. Uzbekistan followed Türkiye in the list of countries receiving Kyrgyz oil product exports, purchasing 67,269 tons valued at $18.261 million.
Overall, Kyrgyzstan exported 188,160 tons of oil products in 2023, marking an 11.3 percent decrease from the 212,250 tons exported in 2022. The total value of these exports was $108.516 million, representing a 24.6 percent decrease from the $143.997 million recorded in 2022.
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover totaled $15.660 billion in 2023, a 29.9 percent increase over 2022 ($12.057 billion). The country's exports totaled $3.308 billion, up 46.8 percent year-on-year ($2.254 billion in 2022). Imports to Kyrgyzstan totaled $12.352 billion, an increase of 26 percent from $9.803 billion in 2022.
