Draft Concept of e-government in Tajikistan to be finalized within two months
Draft Concept of e-government in Tajikistan will be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers before the end of this year, CA-NEWS reported, referring to the press service of the president of Tajikistan
At the end of last week, President Emomalii Rahmon held a regular meeting of the Council of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), where the implementation of ICT in various sectors of national economy and creation of e-government, as well as a draft concept of e-government were discussed.
The President instructed the relevant structures to study the developed draft concept and offer it to the government within two months.
The implementation of the project on e-government began in 2003. The need for improvements in the regulatory and legal framework and the training of professionals was noted at the meeting. In addition, issues of information security and national security were also discussed during the meeting.
According to official statistics, currently, there are 6 million telephone subscribers and 1.8 million Internet users in Tajikistan.
