In the Tajik city of Kurgan-Tube - the regional capital of Khatlon region held a ceremony to rename a city street in the street "Kazahon" ("Kazakh"), which historically populated by ethnic Kazakhs, said a spokesman for the RK MFA Ilyas Omarov.
Kazakh Ambassador Agybay Smagulov and chairman of the city of Kurgan-Tube Sharifhon Samiev solemnly installed a sign with street name "Kazahon" - Omarov said.
According to him, on this occasion, representatives of the Kazakh diaspora living in the region, organized the celebration.
