The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) may temporarily limit the import of all kinds of vegetable products from Tajikistan, RIA Novosti reported.
According to Rosselkhoznadzor, the reason is systematic breaking of international and Russian Phytosanitary requirements during the delivery of vegetable products from Tajikistan.
Rosselkhoznadzor has appealed to Tajikistan's Ministry of Agriculture with the request to hold an investigation into the violations and to take appropriate measures with this regard.
The violations were revealed while checking passengers' hand luggage and certified consignments of goods coming from Tajikistan to Russia.
