Tajikistan's Foreign Ministry has expressed concern about the frequent acts of violence against the Tajik labor migrants in Russia, the Foreign Ministry told CA-News on Wednesday.

"The meeting focused on frequent cases of inhuman acts of violence against the Tajik labor migrants in Russia. The Ministry expressed its concern over the growth of these tendencies and stated that the brutal murders of Tajik citizens Rasulov Bakhtiyor Gaforovich and Kurbonkulov Zokir Chorikulovich provoked outrage and indignation of Tajiks," the source said.
The Ministry said such actions encourage the growth of negative sentiment in the Tajik public and can seriously damage the bilateral relations. They stressed a need for the Russian side to track down and punish criminals, as well as to stop such events in future. The Russian ambassador assured that he will inform his superiors about the conversation and inform about the measures taken in this case and the investigation into the crime," the Foreign Ministry added.
