The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) confirmed the allocation of $20 million to Tajikistan within the program of loan extension for low-income countries, Asia-Plus reported.
The IMF made the decision to allocate funds to Tajikistan after its fifth monitoring of Tajikistan's economic indexes.
After granting this loan the total amount of money, allocated by IMF to Tajikistan will be $140.9 million.
The IMF allocates loan at an interest rate of zero percent in the first year and 0.5 percent in the subsequent years of the 10-year credit period.
