The Committee on the Emergency Situations of Tajikistan and Tajikistan's Ministry on Emergency Situations will sign an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the sphere of civil defense, the response to the emergency situations and their prevention, Avesta.tj reported on Monday.
While developing the agreement, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan held joint exercises on the transboundary territory between the Sogd and Batken oblasts, financially supported by the European Union's humanitarian department.
The agreement provides the arrangement of monitoring of dangerous anthropogenic, ecological and natural effects as well as the mutual warnings about the potentially dangerous objects.
The document also foresees the exchange of information on the forecast of the natural and anthropogenic emergency situations and the instructions for population on how to act at the time of emergency situations
