Azerbaijan, Baku, July 26 / Trend E. Kosolapova/
Telephone communication interrupted with the city of Khorog in Tajik Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region, where over 40 people had been killed in special operation on July 24-25.
Communication interrupted as a result of damaging the fiber-optic cable during the fighting between security officers and illegal armed formation, ITAR-TASS reported with reference to the head of Tajikistan's government communication service Beg Zuhurov.
"The cable was damaged by a bullet during the fighting in the city of Khorog," Zukhurov said at the press conference on Thursday, explaining that he did not know who shot at the cable.
Meanwhile, according to Zukhurov, Tajik communication service bought 150 satellite phones, which will be placed in the region's settlements to allow the people to contact their relatives in Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region until the cable is repaired.
Zukhurov rejected the information of some media on communications blocked by Tajik national security agencies.
