The agreement on stay of Russian military base in Tajikistan will most likely be signed in the first half of 2013, chief commander of RF troops colonel general Vladimir Chirkin reported to Ria News.
"Agreement terms on stay of our military base in Tajikistan are currently being developed. Our party insists on the contract duration of 49 years, we are experiencing some frictions. As far as I know, we have time till the end of March to hold a number of consultations, discuss all terms and details, based on reasonable ideas and calculations", Chirkin stated in his interview to Echo of Moscow radio station.
He said he considers that heads of the states will sign the agreement on further stay of our base in the beginning of next year.
Chirkin noted that Tajikistan asks for great financial aid from Rossia.
"The aid amounts to hundred millions of dollars annually", he stated.
