Tajikistan's economic and investment opportunities were discussed during the Tajik-Austrian forum in Vienna, Avesta.Tj reported on Sept. 16 citing Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The delegation of Tajikistan was led by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nematdzhon Buriev.

The forum was attended by representatives of a wide range of Tajik and Austrian entrepreneurs and two countries ministries' officials.

The event of its kind between the two countries was held for the first time.

The main purpose of the forum was to support the Tajik entrepreneurs in developing and strengthening trade and economic cooperation with Austrian partners, the creation of a favorable environment for attracting investment in the country's economy, as well as to contribute to an increase in bilateral trade turnover between Tajikistan and Austria.

After the official part of the event, the representatives of two sides held meeting and negotiations in "business to business" format, during which the prospects of cooperation were discussed.
