Tajik border guards left the bridge on the border with Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz State Border Service said, Sputnik Tajikistan reported.
“Following the results of negotiations between the border representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, the Tajik side opened the bridge for the passage in the Leylek district of the Batken region (south of Kyrgyzstan) and Tajik border guards left the area,” said the press service.
Previously, it was reported that Tajikistan closed the border with Kyrgyzstan. Tajikistan unilaterally stopped the work of a number of checkpoints, including international ones, on the border with Kyrgyzstan due to the construction of a bridge on the disputed territory.
Tajik border guards also closed a bridge in the Leylek district of the Batken region for passage and set up border patrols there, increasing the number of servicemen.
