BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 18. Tajikistan revealed profits from gold exports from January through June 2022, Trend reports with reference to the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
The value of Tajik gold exports in the first half of 2022 amounted to $538.9 million, while profits from gold powder exports in the reporting period totaled $54 million.
Currently, 18 gold mining companies are operating in Tajikistan, that are increasing the volume of this metal production every year.
Notably, 70 percent of Tajikistan's total gold production is produced by one of the nation's biggest gold mining companies, the Tajik-Chinese joint venture Zarafshon.
