BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 28. The administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power met with Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin on September 27, Trend reports citing the USAID's press service.
During the meeting, Power and Muhriddin discussed USAID’s work in Tajikistan and support for the country’s people and economy.
As reported, Power shared that USAID will provide an additional $13 million in food security support to Tajikistan, including programs to help provide meals for students.
In addition, they also discussed the importance of combating climate change and advancing clean energy goals in Tajikistan.
Currently, USAID partners with Tajikistan to strengthen democratic governance, boost economic growth, improve education, health, and food security and bolster regional economic connectivity.
