BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 1. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) will provide funding for the implementation of several projects in Tajikistan, Trend reports with reference to asiaplustj.info.
During the today's presentation of the EDB's Country Strategy for Tajikistan for 2022–2026 in Dushanbe, it was announced that EDB will allocate $2.6 million to support micro and small enterprises through Tajikistan's Imon Internatonal - one of the largest leading financial institutions in the country.
Funds will be directed for the development of Tajik private business in the manufacturing sector, agriculture, as well as in the sectors of trade and services.
Furthermore, the EDB will provide up to $3.5 million to establish a manufacturing facility for LED lighting products. It is planned to organize the production of LED lamps for household purposes, as well as products for housing and communal services, for street and park lighting etc.
