Central Elections Commission Says Turkmenistan’s Parliamentary Election Over
Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Dec. 14 / Trend , E.Hasanov / Election to the Parliament of Turkmenistan is considered to be over, Central Elections Commission said. Nationwide turnout by 2.00pm stood at 2,124,880 people, or 76.88% of the total number of voters.
President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov was the first to vote on his 134th polling station of Constituency-10. He came to the polling station with his father at eight o'clock in the morning.
A total of 2,118 polling stations operated in 125 Constituencies across the country. For the first time they were established also abroad, their number totalled 27.
