New ambassador of Romania is accredited in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, March 17 /corr. Trend G. Hasanov / President of Turkmenistan received the credentials from newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania, the official Turkmen sources reported. 
Romania is among the Eastern European countries interested in building a gas pipeline "Nabucco", allowing Europe to get access to Caspian resources. The corresponding high-level talks were held in July last year during a visit of Berdymuhamedov to Bucharest . 
Romanian diplomatic mission in Ashgabat headed by Radu Liviu Horumbe. The Ambassador conveyed greetings to the Turkmen head of the Romanian President Traian Basescu, pointing out that "the leadership of his country attaches great importance to developing multi-faceted inter-state dialogue, which has recently received a new quality and content". 
Parties noted the commitment to earlier agreements aimed "to deepen and expand collaboration", such as fuel and energy sector, transport and communications, industry and construction, agriculture and trade. 
Channel Altyn Asyr this morning reported that the President of Turkmenistan expressed satisfaction with the constructive approach of Romanian leadership to cooperate in education, noting that today tens of Turkmen students acquire modern knowledge in the leading universities of Romania. 
Earlier Berdymuhamedov pointed the attachment of Turkmenistan to European vector of its policy. According to him, the energy potential of the country to ensure implementation of all international projects that benefit all parties involved. According to the independent audit, the resources of only one gas field in south-eastern Turkmenistan, in Iolotani - one of five largest underground storage in the world.
