China ready to allocate billion dollars to Turkmenistan to develop Iolotan

China expressed its readiness to provide three billion dollars to develop Turkmenistan's South Iolotan natural gas field, included in the four largest gas fields of the world, national TV channel Altyn Asyr reported.

This was the outcome of the negotiations, which was held in Beijing on June 1-2 by the delegation of leaders and experts of relevant industry bodies, led by deputy chairman of the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers T. Tagiyev.

The projected resources are within the limits of 4-14 trillion cubic meters of gas.

Earlier it was noted that Tagiyev's meetings with the financial and oil and gas departments of China would also focus on conditions of sale of natural gas. The two countries are linked with common gas projects, construction of which is done through the territory of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Transportation of gas through the pipeline with a capacity of up to 30-40 billion cubic meters per year is planned for early next year. The initial throughput capacity of about 5.0 billion cubic meters of fuel.
