A delegation of International Organization for Migration (IOM) headed by senior regional adviser for Europe and Central Asia, Eugenio Ambrosi, is on a visit to Ashgabat, the Turkmen government said on Wednesday.
The delegation held a meeting at the Foreign Ministry.
The meeting discussed the proposal of the Turkmen side to hold an international meeting in Ashgabat in 2012, with the participation of all stakeholders to learn from the experiences of Turkmenistan to grant citizenship to refugees and stateless persons.
"During the fruitful exchange of views on the current state and prospects of cooperation, the delegation expressed a desire to further intensify effective collaboration in this important area," he said.
