Defence, police, intelligence chiefs appointed in Turkmenistan

Turkmen President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Tuesday appointed heads of the key security ministries and agencies, state-run Altyn Asyr TV reported.
Lieutenant General Yaylym Berdiyev was appointed National Security Minister and Secretary of the State Security Council. Colonel Begench Gundogdyev was appointed Defence Minister.
Berdimuhamedov also decided to appoint Yaranmyrat Yazmyradov as Prosecutor General, Amanmyrat Khallyev as chairman of the Supreme Court, Police Major-General Isgender Mulikov as Interior Minister, Myrat Garryev as Justice Minister. The Turkmen Parliament approved these appointments.
Turkmen President also appointed Lieutenant-General Murad Yslamov as chairman of the State Border Service - the Commander of Border Troops, Colonel Annamuhammet Hojamgulyev as Chairman of State Customs Service, Major-General Aman Garayev as Chairman of the State Service for Fighting Drugs, lieutenant colonel Dovrangeldi Bayramov as Chairman of the State Migration Service.
