Chairman of the Majlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan Akja Nurberdieva received letters of credence from the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Mongolia Ochir Ochirzhava, an official Turkmen source said on Thursday.
During the meeting the ambassador was briefed on the main directions of domestic and foreign policy of Turkmenistan, as well as key aspects of large-scale projects and programs of socio-economic development operating in the country.
During the meeting it was suggested the establishment of closer inter-parliamentary relations.
Among the priority areas of intergovernmental cooperation during a meeting at the Foreign Ministry were called trade-economic and humanitarian spheres of agriculture, particularly livestock, cooperation in tourism, sports and many others.
