Turkmen president: New fuel and energy infrastructure to be formed in Eurasia

International gas pipelines show that a new fuel and energy infrastructure is being formed in Eurasia, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said at the conference, "Innovative technologies for Turkmenistan's integrated natural resource processing."

"Today, Turkmenistan opens new rich deposits of natural resources having industrial value," the statement says.

The Turkmen leader said that the international gas pipelines, testifying that a new fuel and energy infrastructure is being formed in Eurasia and the enterprises producing goods having great demand on the world markets, are being created. The industrial areas processing raw materials are being modernized.

"All these significant steps are aimed at ensuring global peace through development," the Turkmen president said.

Turkmenistan is a country having great natural resources - natural gas, oil, hydro-mineral and mineral resources, underground iodine-bromine water, potassium and sodium salts, sulfur, limestone, various metals - iron, manganese, titanium , molybdenum, copper,
aluminum, lead, tin, semi-precious and precious stones - marble, onyx, jasper, opal, amethyst, agate.

Processing of petrochemical raw materials, gas, mineral and hydro-mineral resources, the study of scientific principles of competitive products on the world markets with the use of advanced scientific, technological and innovative decisions, the creation of technologies for obtaining composite, ceramic and crystalline materials, polymers, fibers and elastomers, new building materials, as well as getting silicon out of Karakum sand and other local raw building materials are Turkmenistan's main tasks in this field.

According to BP, Turkmenistan ranks fourth on natural gas reserves after Russia, Iran and Qatar.

Turkmenistan exports natural gas to China, Iran and Russia.
