The meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS, which is supposed to consider 30 draft documents on various aspects of the integration of cooperation, opened in the Turkmen capital on Wednesday, the official Turkmen source reports. Turkmenistan hosts this high level forum as the country presiding in the CIS in 2012.
The list of issues in particular, includes the draft decisions 'On the Concept of the liberalisation of the financial services market of the CIS member states' and 'On draft Agreement on Cooperation in the field of organising an integrated currency market'.
The latter provides that each party provides to banks and other parties the right to carry out foreign exchange transactions and access to its national currency market for interbank foreign exchange transactions on terms no less favourable than those accorded to resident banks of that side.
The Protocol amending the Agreement on the provision of parallel operation of power systems of the Commonwealth members dated November 25, 1998 will be presented. The Agreement on the Council of Tourism of CIS member states will be also considered.
The meeting is also expected to consider the draft decisions on the results of documentary audits of financial and economic activities of the Commonwealth implemented in 2011 and funded from a single budget of the CIS, on amending the regulations of the CIS, governing the financing of the CIS bodies.
