President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov was presented with a management report of the State Customs Service, Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper said on Tuesday.

'Speaking about the importance of continuous improvement of customs posts, the Turkmen leader emphasised that, along with careful inspections of cargo passing through the border, customs officers must not forget the immutable rule of work - to follow the best traditions of hospitality and polite attitude to foreign visitors, most of whom comes to our country in order to establish long term business contacts', an article says.

Measures taken to control the traffic, crossing the border of Turkmenistan, including transit nature was also discussed during the meeting.

A report of the State Commission for consideration of citizens' complaints on matters of activity of law enforcement officials under the president was also heard during the meeting.

'Stressing the key role of this structure in the process of progressive development of the democratic foundations of the state to protect the rights and freedoms enshrined in the Basic Law of the country, the Constitution of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen leader noted the need for a more thorough, detailed review of all applications submitted to the commission', Neutral Turkmenistan says.
