Turkmen President signs decree on next call to military service

On Monday the President, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces (AF) of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on the transfer to the reserve in October - December 2013 from the Armed Forces and other troops of the country, soldiers who pass military service by conscription, who served the statutory period.
Also, the decree provided to call for military service in October - December 2013 male-citizens of Turkmenistan who do not qualify for deferment, who is 18 years old by the day of call, senior citizens who lost the right to deferment from military service.
By a special order of the head of state heads of military and law enforcement agencies are ordered to dismiss the soldiers in a festive atmosphere, encouraging the standouts of military and socio-humanitarian training.
According to Turkmenistan's military doctrine, the country pursues a status of positive neutrality and is not included in any of the military-political blocs.
