By Huseyn Hasanov- Trend: According to the decree of Turkmen president, Tachdurdy Begjanov was appointed Deputy Chairman of "Turkmennebit" ("Turkmenoil") State Concern, (SC) a message from the country's government said on Nov.9.
In July 2013 Rejepgeldi Ilamanov was appointed Chairman of the concern.
Turkmenneft State Concern, being one of the largest oil and gas companies, plays a leading role in the economy of the country. It is engaged not only in the production of oil and gas, but also chemicals, drinking and industrial water, bentonite.
During the years of independence, the concern has managed to increase oil production from 5 million tons to 8 million tons a year, gas - up to 11.6 billion cubic meters.
