It should be noted that the relations between Turkmenistan and Switzerland are at a high level in many spheres.
Over 30 enterprises with Swiss capital operate in Turkmenistan. The sides name the fuel and energy complex, transport and communications, high-tech sector, investments, tourism as the promising areas of cooperation.
Moreover, Turkmenistan is interested in partnership with Switzerland in such spheres as mechanical engineering, chemical, processing and food industry, pharmaceutical and biochemical production.
The visit of Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov to Switzerland in 2012 gave an impetus to the relations between the two countries. It should be noted that a package of documents was signed between the two sides during that visit.
