Turkmen, Turkish presidents mull regional situation

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a telephone conversation exchanged views on a number of topical issues of regional and global agenda, the Turkmen government said in a message October 26.
The conversation was initiated by the Turkish side.
President Berdimuhamedov stressed the strategic nature of the Turkmenistan-Turkey relations, the message said.
According to the message, the presidents also discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation.
"In this regard, the sides stressed favorable opportunities existing for intensification of mutually beneficial cooperation on a number of areas, which corresponds to the mutual long-term interests," the message said.
