John Deere offers Turkmenistan agriculture equipment

The US company John Deere is ready to offer cotton and grain harvesters, tractors, as well as various agricultural equipment to Turkmenistan, said Mark von Pentz, president of the company’s Agriculture and Turf Division of Europe, CIS, Asia, Africa and Global Tractor Platform.
He made the remarks at the meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Turkmen state news agency reported.
John Deere has been operating in the Turkmen market for about 25 years.
The sides discussed prospects of business cooperation in the context of the priorities of Turkmenistan.
The information also says that Turkmenistan has successfully solved the problem of food security, along with this, the country exports grain and cotton.
This year, it is planned to produce 1.6 million tons of grain in Turkmenistan. The plan to harvest 1.05 million tons of cotton has already been fulfilled.
