The proposals of intensifying energy ties have been put forward during a meeting in Ashgabat between the representatives of the Turkmen and Kuwaiti foreign ministries, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a message May 3.
According to the message, the Turkmen side expressed a desire to expand cooperation in science and education.
"The Turkmen and Kuwaiti sides stressed the effective development of mutually beneficial cooperation, expressing such an opinion that the regular political consultations are one of the important mechanisms promoting the partnership between the two countries," the message said.
During the talks, the sides discussed the issues of cooperation in trade, economy, culture, agriculture and textile industry, as well as the possibility of holding Days of Culture, joint business forums.
At the end of the meeting, the sides stressed the importance of diversifying cooperation that meets mutual interests.
According to the implementation of the national civil aviation development program, Turkmenistan Airlines intends to launch Ashgabat-Kuwait flight, Ashgabat-Muscat (Oman) flight, Ashgabat-Sharm el-Sheikh flight, Ashgabat-Hurghada flight, Ashgabat-Cairo (Egypt) flight.
