“Thus, the growth rate of electricity production reached 105.8 percent, and the growth rate of its export was 103.9 percent,” says the message.
At this stage, work is underway to expand electricity export to Afghanistan and Iran. The possibilities of electricity transportation to Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and the Caucasus countries are also being studied.
Turkmenistan plans to produce up to 27.4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity until 2020 and bring this volume up to 35.5 billion kilowatt-hours until 2030.
