The Turkmen Parliament hosted a meeting with China’s deputy chairman of the National People's Congress, Secretary General of the Congress Standing Committee Wang Chen, reads a message of the Turkmen government.
The sides noted the importance of interparliamentary cooperation, designed to serve the development of relations in the context of the plans coordinated by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Chinese President Xi Jinping during mutual state visits in 2013 and 2014.
The package of documents signed earlier identified new areas of partnership, in transportation, energy, industry and the humanitarian sphere as well, according to the message.
“The traditions of friendship and understanding, supported by regular contacts at various levels, are the foundation for expansion of ties,” the message said.
