The Turkmenhaly State Association will be privatized, said Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the government’s meeting, the national Altyn Asyr TV channel reported Oct. 6.
In this regard, the Turkmen head gave instructions to hold relevant tenders, as well as to prepare all necessary documents on denationalization of the carpet industry.
Turkmenhaly includes a big network of artistic carpet waving enterprises operating in the country, as well as structural units specializing in primary processing, spinning and dyeing of wool.
Enterprises of Turkmenhaly State Association produced more than 43,000 square meters of carpets and rugs in 2016.
