Turkmenistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Orazmyrat Gurbannazarov has been elected as Chairman of the Board of the country’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Turkmen Dovlet Habarlary state news agency reported.
This decision was made at a meeting of the board of the Chamber in line with its charter.
Reportedly, former head of the Chamber, Babagylych Gylyjov, was dismissed due to the sharp criticism by Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the recent meeting of the country’s Cabinet of Ministers “for not using the available opportunities and the potential of the Chamber”.
