European firms buy road bitumen in Turkmenistan

Last week, 40 transactions were registered at the auction of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports referring to the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

Entrepreneurs from the UK, Switzerland, Estonia, Hong Kong, the UAE, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan purchased road bitumen. Also, businessmen from Russia purchased high-density polyethylene and polypropylene. The carbamide was purchased by businessmen from the UK, the UAE, and Afghanistan.

Cotton yarn, terry cloth, cotton wool, Portland cement, bath salts, and cosmetic clay were also among the sold items. Buyer countries included Russia, Turkey, the UAE, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan. The total amount of transactions exceeded $33,274,000.

Enterprises and organizations of all forms of ownership, as well as citizens of Turkmenistan and other countries can become participants in exchange trading by acquiring a brokerage site or concluding a service contract with stock brokers.

The main export items are petroleum products, cotton fiber, domestic products of textile and chemical industries.
