Preparations for harvesting wheat are underway in Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to “Zolotoy Vek” (Golden Age) newspaper.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev reported about the preparation work during a working meeting held by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Country is preparing 156 grain reception points for the harvested crop. It is planned to use 2,220 combine harvesters, and 4,440 machine operators will be working in two shifts. There are also 460 repair and adjustment teams equipped with mobile workshops, welding machines and vehicles for transporting fuel.
It is planned to use 11,100 trucks to transport the collected wheat and deliver it to receiving points, grain elevators and barns. All conditions have been created for farmers to rest.
During the meeting, the deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers submitted a draft resolution to the head of state about the structured measures for wheat harvesting in Turkmenistan in 2020.
The president instructed to improve the management of the agricultural sector and introduce effective financial and economic mechanisms to stimulate the work of tenants and farmers. The head of state signed a decree outlining tasks in this field and ordering to ensure their timely solution.
